The local CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Branch has awarded the Cumberland 'Pub of the Year' for 2010, the second year running. This accolade enables us to progress to the next round of the National competition. Watch this space!
In 2009 we came runners up to the Watermill in Ings, which went on to represent Cumbria in the Regional competition.
The Cumberland Quoits team is limbering up for the new season. Playing most Wednesday evenings, from May to August, this is a chance to see one of the traditional english pastimes that are still played in the country.
